This is just me playing my Oscar Schmidt Autoharp on the front porch, much as I've been doing for the past 40 years. I learned to play this fun, rich sounding Appalachian/Blue Grass instrument from our tenant, Bob Holdt, in 1973. Bob was blind and played his Autoharp upside down. Thus, I learned to play it the same way (in case anyone wonders why I have mine configured the way it is). My main hobby is trains and railroad history and my repertoire reflects this. Here's a sample of what I play... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXoAHAAjKug. Thanks for reading (and maybe listening). :-)

Original and Americana, Blues, Jazz and Good Fun Stuff. Perfect for Porchfest, Jim Gordon explores the swing of the archtop guitar and new directions in mandolin, while recording artist, Wendy Keith (Momma Breezy), sings with a passion for words and music that speaks directly to your soul. With the Box of Chocalates, like life, you never know what you're going to get--but you should sit back and get ready for fun and great music.

A collaboration of folk/bluegrass/americana/rock musicians in the area come together to participate in just another event that makes Somerville a magical place to live. In years past we have had talent from the following bands: Della Mae, Billy Wylder, The Surviving Kenneallys, Girls Guns and Glory, Heartbeat, Three Tall Pines, Creek River, The Barnyard Birds, and The South East Express Way. Time will tell who will be in town, but as usual, it will be a good old fun time.
