Like Neil Young and Alejandro Escovedo, Glenn Yoder glides between guitar-driven rock and folk-tinged acoustic balladry. Infusing the Texas songwriter tradition with jangly pop (think Wilco and the Jayhawks), other songs beckon to a darker place: swampy blues a la Ray Wylie Hubbard and Morphine.

We have four bands playing this year. Yeah! Bucky Fereke And The Pony Express is an original three-piece outlaw/honky-tonk/folk-rock band. Reuniting due to last year's successful team-up at last year's event, Sam Spencer and Jim Miller will be celebrating Porchfest 2013 in the best way possible - by hanging out on a porch and playing music. There will be some improvised combination of electric bass, guitar, upright bass, banjo, keyboard, laptop beats, dancing and merriment. Shenanigans will likely be involved as well. There is literally no way to know what will happen, but it can be assured that it will be good times.

Bob Defandorf is a long-haired guy with an acoustic guitar who knows a lot of good songs and likes to play and sing whatever comes to mind. He'll just be sitting out on his porch with no amplification, and it's likely that at various points he'll be joined by his son, some friends, or maybe even you. His performance will be kid (and even grandparent)-friendly, and it's a nice, quiet street with very little traffic. He doesn't have a website or a Facebook page or anything like that; this is strictly old-school, except for the mp3 format of the song to your left, which is a pretty good representation of what you're likely to hear at Porchfest.

Just a guy with a Hammered Dulcimer, a porch, and a few songs in his head. By no means a pro, but if you've never seen a hammered dulcimer, they're pretty darned cool.
