Jamie Kallestad is 1/2 of the folk/Americana duo 90-Mile Portage (www.90mileportage.bandcamp.com) and 1/3 of the stomp-grass trio Saint Anyway (www.saintanyway.com). He writes and performs folk-rock songs on acoustic guitar, occasionally on his front step with friends. This is what will be happening on May 17 - come say hello!

5 local dudes. All acoustic: banjo, guitar, bass, harmonica, percussion, ukulele, vocals and mandolin. Playing music of yesterday and today (We are the sons of hippies after-all...). Primary influences include Tom Waits, the Rolling Stones, The Band, Wilco and the Devil Makes Three. Website and many more details to follow. Stay tuned. Click the link below our pic from the Union Sq. Farmers Market to read about us from Porchfest 2012. We loved Porchfest 2013 as well!!!
Drop by for a good time, great music, amazing company and even some four square. Also, remember to ask us about Herbstalk 2014 (http://herbstalk.org/). See you then!

Boston-based acoustic trio Trusting Fate is bolstered by a genuine passion for creating imaginative, unexpected music. The group’s debut release Down to the Basics features 12 original tunes that combine elements of rock, folk, bluegrass, roots and blues into a fresh, powerful sound.
Versatile multi-instrumentalists Paul Therkelsen (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Mike O’Brien (mandolin, violin, guitar, keyboards) and Susanna Doyle (vocals, keyboards) spin playful melodies and blend rich three-part harmonies with crisp lyrics.

We play Americana music (folk, country, bluegrass, gospel) with a guitar, banjo, bass and harmonica. Porchfest will be our 99th show as a band! We have original tunes, but some of our favorite covers are Dead Flowers (Rolling Stones), Little Ghost (White Stripes), Hard Times (Stephen Foster) and Swing Down Sweet Chariot (traditional/Elvis Presley). We have fun. Look over there! We're on the jumbotron at Fenway!

A range of musical genres and ensembles, ranging from a soulful choir to an old-time picking circle. Opportunities for sing-a-long and jamming abound.

Thom Valicenti started Mount Peru with two and a half tunes scribbled on some bar napkins, with the intention of making a band that could reliably deliver the goods, whose music bridged the gap between psych, glam, power pop, and Americana, and whose members were tight friends.
Mount Peru are Thom Valicenti on lead vocals and guitar, Mary Flatley on vocals, Curtis Wyant on pedal steel and guitar, David Guerette on tenor sax, Matt Bowker on trumpet and keyboards, Alan Durell on bass, Tim Nylander on drums.

Katy and Kenny Hutson hail from the thriving and quirky community of East Nashville, Tennessee. Kenny grew up on bluegrass, Katy grew up on jazz. They met, he asked her out. She said yes, but was on tour. Could he ask again? He did. Sparks flew, they got married, they wrote songs, they toured.
As of late, Katy largely plays with kid's jazz outfit Coal Train Railroad and sings Bible songs for little children with Rain for Roots. Kenny plays and tours with various and sundry groups including Jim Lauderdale, Julie Lee, Over the Rhine, Kim Richey and David Crowder. Their favorite gig is on porches with good friends like David and Kelly Richter.
