Bob Defandorf is a long-haired guy with an acoustic guitar who knows a lot of good songs and likes to play and sing whatever comes to mind. He'll just be sitting out on his porch with no amplification, and it's likely that at various points he'll be joined by his son, some friends, or maybe even you. His performance will be kid (and grandparent)-friendly, and it's a nice, quiet street with very little traffic. He doesn't have a website or a Facebook page or anything like that; this is strictly old-school, except for the mp3 format of the song below, which is a pretty good representation of what you're likely to hear on Saturday.

Join library favorite Jordan Voelker for a sing along! Suitable for children through preschool, caregivers, and families. Hear tunes from the fiddle, ukulele, and autoharp. If we are lucky she will also bring her musical saw!
Jordan is a Somerville resident who plays and teaches viola and violin around Boston. She performs and records with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Callithumpian Consort, Larkin Grimm, Carter Creek Revival, and other old and new music groups.

Flightless Buttress: melding classical music with classic rock. Featuring John Nolan on guitar, and Calin Peters playing the cello (and if we are lucky the dulcimer). Note: Will be playing in the library's forecourt in the later afternoon, around 3pm.

Outrageous Fortune is an acoustic vintage jazz and blues trio featuring innovative arrangements of early jazz, blues and jug band music. The trio is Chris Welles on guitar; Rod Thomas on harmonica; and Dan Dick on jug, washboard and upright bass. Audiences are wowed by their instrumental virtuosity, and are delighted by their smooth three-part vocal harmonies and their strong groove.
<em>"Outrageous Fortune not only revive the rich repertoire of the classic jug bands, but this expert outfit also revel in the wit, theatricality and pure fun of the genre. They are a jubilation."</em>
-- Daniel Gewertz, Boston Herald music critic
