Blossoming from the Slavic heart of Greater Boston, the Somerville Symphony Orkestar is an all-original Eastern European Punk Funk band. Formed in 2009, the SSO has been constantly gaining notice from many of the music scenes in and around New England. With the success of their first album, the SSO has opened for such bands as the Rebirth Brass Band, the Stepkids, and Dudu Tassa & the Kuwaitis. They’ve also made their mark as one of the organizers of the yearly Balkan Soul Fest in Somerville, MA and have also performed at many of New England’s other festivals including Jerry Jam, Boston’s First Night, and the Somerville Artbeat Festival

Drzewa (Polish for "trees") play improvisations inspired by traditional Siberian music and psychedelic rock.

Bealtaine is a group of friends who play Irish and a bit of Scottish traditional music. Some of us play professionally, others just for fun. We frequently get together for house parties and enjoy sharing our tunes and love of the music with others. Come join us for some tunes and a few songs—"craic agus ceol" (good times/fun and music).

Mahasound is the duet of Ambar and Alfredo Limantour, performing unique Pre-Columbian music using natural rhythmic cycles for dancing, and relaxation. Mahasound's centerpiece drums were crafted in the ancient Aztec tradition by Don Maximino Ibarra, who received his gift as a drum-maker on the slopes of Popocatepetl. The drums are considered sacred and are called the "abuelos" or grandparents. Mahasound's beautiful collection of more than 50 replica instruments are carved with serpents and other Nahuatl symbols, days from the sacred calendar Tonalpohualli, and Aztec Gods. Urban Myth (Mel Fitzhugh - guitar, vocals and composer; Deb Lempke - percussion; John Capello - acoustic bass; Cathy Reuben - flute and recorders) offers a unique and exciting blend of original compositions, world music, early music and folk/rock/jazz covers.
