Dirty Water Brass Band, a Boston-based undefinable raucous street band, a staunch contributor to the many grooves that make this town tick. We bring our movable block party to you, doesn’t matter where. Our style is eclectic, a mix of second line, soul, R&B, Motown, rock, jazz and more. And we do NOT "have to be in by twelve o'clock!"
This year, Dirty Water is totally psyched to be playing for you on and by the front stoop of the Revolutionary Medical MJ Clinic in East Somerville. Kudos to the city for welcoming such an establishment to this great neighborhood.
Feel free to "love that Dirty Water" at: https://www.facebook.com/dirtywaterbrassband.

Gillian Grogan (on first): Full-bodied folk in a mossy chalice. What more could you desire? "An unforgiving tuggin' at your roots, no matter where you come from." -Woven Collective https://gilliangrogan.bandcamp.com/
Big Spender Trio (on last): Down homestyle, deep fried hammond B3 organ + vintage keys driven funk. Watch yourself now! https://bigspendertrio.bandcamp.com/
Kristina Staplefeld can’t perform on Sunday, unfortunately. Sorry about that.

Brett and Ryan were in a band together throughout college, where they played monthly shows at the legendary Whitney Bar and Grill in the great city of Hamden, Connecticut. After college, they both found themselves in Boston, and began playing as an acoustic duo at whatever gigs they could get: bars, bridal showers, weddings, birthdays, house parties, and everything in between. After playing together for 10 years, they've got a pretty wide ranging set list- everything from Hall & Oates, to Blackstreet, to The Kinks, to Alanis Morissette, and much more.

Hornography is a brass-fueled pop/rock/dance/funk band based in Somerville, MA.
We perform original arrangements of an eclectic mix of music from the last four decades, including TV themes, film music, and top 40 hits.
Our curiously strong blend of trumpet, saxophone, trombone, melodica, bass guitar, and drums makes us a potent musical force. Kids love dancing to our music, and adults love basking in the glow of nostalgia that floats above us halo-like wherever we go.

2:00 - 3:00 Buddy V
3:00 - 4:00 Jess Green
Buddy V is an Americana artist. He will be playing a solo acoustic set comprised of tunes off his most recent record along with other classics.
Jess Green pulls inspiration from artists ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Carol King, Joni Mitchell to Ray Charles, and Diana Krall to Stevie Wonder. In her music you will hear singable meldodies blended with colors and chord progressions that stretch the boundaries of traditional pop/singer-songwriter music and bring in a subtle but clear undercurrent of jazz. Her show will mix music she's written with timeless jazz, folk, and blues tunes.
