Porchfish features Bob Oakes playing slide on his National Resonator. Playing songs from the greats like Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell, and Robert Johnson, as well as interesting takes on some more modern songs from the likes of Johnny Cash and Radiohead and some original thrown into the mix. And, of course, Porchfish wouldn't be Porchfish without boiling up batches of spicy crawfish!

A reunion of Cory Magno (guitar) and Jeff Shwom (vocals), two of the original members of Hot Sauce Rhythm and Blues. We will be playing most songs from our original albums, Funk the Beach and At The Dance Hall, plus a couple extra fan favorites.

Hot Sauce Rhythm and Blues was formed in 2012 and had long time gigs at the Cantab, The Liberty Hotel on Monday night, Johnny D's Blues Jam on Sunday and more. Happy to be reuniting for porchfest.

There will be banjo.

Lemon Louis plays traditional Piedmont blues-- a style of guitar-based blues that combines blues and ragtime. Piedmont blues emerged mostly from the Southeastern US and gained popularity in the 1920s and 1930s. Sets will feature the work of artists such as Blind Blake, Reverend Gary Davis, and Blind Boy Fuller.
