With her latest CD "Crazy Love", Somerville singer/guitarist Karen Grenier continues to make her mark as a gifted songwriter and crafty lyricist. Karen's smooth, penetrating voice, rhythmic acoustic style and positive emotional energy make for an excellent concert experience. Voted 2009's Boston Pride Idol winner, Karen was also named a semifinalist in the 2006 Peacedriven Songwriting Contest. Several of her songs have been featured on the Dawson's Creek DVD. Karen makes her living both as a guidance counselor and a professional musician. "You've got to reach for your dreams...it's an attitude I've always tried to inspire in my students...now I'm living mine!"

J. Walter plays songs that can't decide whether to be pop, folk, rock, or country. Mix 'em all together and you've got yourself some tunes that were meant to be played on a porch in the month of May. (http://jwalterweatherman.bandcamp.com/)
Michael Boyce hails from Charleston, SC. He has played and sung with Firesides, an alt/folk band from Boston.

Walter and the Night Owls are a Somerville, MA-based alternative-folk music quartet. Combining acoustic guitar, violin, and cello with vocal harmonies they’ve manage to create a sound all their own while echoing inspiration from songwriters like Josh Rouse, Jeff Tweedy, and Ray Lamontagne. Composed of three music educators (Masami, Afton, and Kristy) and a classical guitarist (Walter), Walter and the Night Owls was formed when a last minute gig sparked a musical kinship. The band is currently working on their debut full length album. For more information on Walter and the Night Owls visit www.walterandthenightowls.com .
