After playing together for years, multi-instrumentalist Josh Talbot and guitarist Ray Wynne formed the jam band Tailwind in 2021 to involve their Boston-based musician-friends in their craft. They have since been joined by drummer Marisa Gaetz, guitarist Trevor Ewald, vocalist Quinn Brodsky, and keyboardist Dominik Martinez. Drawing influence from funk, rock, and soul music, Tailwind cultivates a unique sound, backing Quinn's soulful vocals with funky rhythms and riffs.  

Join us from 1-2pm at 170 Morrison Ave this Porchfest, following our friends Lord Jucier (12-1pm)!

Pet Cobra is a new Boston-based group that fiercely blends elements of soul, jazz and pop. Their energizing rhythms and catchy vocal melodies will have you groovin' on your feet.

Midnight Motion is a 6-piece Funk, R&B/Soul, Jazz, and Dance band from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 2019 by Berklee graduate Jon
Lawson, Yong Yoon, and Ben Cuba, Midnight Motion quickly grew in size while developing their own unique sound. Combining the perfect blend of high-energy vocals with the smooth, sweet sounds of the saxophone - Midnight Motion is a musical delight that will keep you groovin’ all night long.

We are a group of friends who just got together to play some tunes and have fun. That's what we do. We are the Of Courses!

We are a vocal harmony group consisting of four singers - Walter Cooper, Stephen Cooper, Belle Linda Halpern and Jenny Bonham-Carter - lending our voices to the social/racial/climate justice movement. We perform and lead a variety of music and sing whatever is in our hearts but the dominating style is engaging civil rights movements music, soul and spirituals from different traditions. During Porch Fest we will particularly focus on the Poor People's Campaign. Come and sing along with us!

Come join our porch party! First we'll have Catch a Dinosaur bring their sonic textures and rockin' beats. Then Jan Marie will bring bluesy, folksy, soulful, jazzy tunes to get you groovin'. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready to sing along!

Matt Estabrook is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and educator based in Somerville, MA. No two sets of Matt's music are alike; reflecting his multitude of interests in the academic world, Matt's music draws from several sources of musical inspiration, ranging from Cecil Taylor to Frank Ocean. Matt currently attends the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he is studying Human Development and Psychology, with a concentration in Arts & Education. Come check out the 7-piece band that plays indie rock, 80s Brazilian pop, and avant-garde jazz -- all in the same song!
