The Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass Band is a 30 piece “raucous, stomp-your-foot-and-belt-out-the-choruses” New Orleans-style street band, based in Somerville and Cambridge, Massachusetts. We combine music with social action, slamming out the sounds of the legendary Crescent City for peace rallies, street festivals, parades, and benefits. We are also a part of the organizing force behind HONK!, a festival of activist street bands that takes place every October in Somerville’s Davis Square.

Though we&#39;re scheduled to play from 4-6pm, we&#39;ll actually be performing from 12-2pm. Sorry, Porchfest organizers! This was the only porch we could find, and the only time that worked for the band . . .&nbsp;

Catch us from the beginning of the Community Path on the east side of Davis Square - you&#39;ll be able to see and hear us while enjoying the sweet perfume of the community garden!
