Orphic Blues

Music Genre:
Porchfest Sub Genre:
Band Description:

Orphic Blues is a four piece ALt-Rock outfit from Allston MA. Drawing heavily from the sounds of the 90's and early 00's, we put forth music that is uplifting, yet always socially aware, and should sound vaguely familiar to most Rock fans. Like a friend from childhood, Orphic Blues attempts to connect to listeners via common memories while still trying to live in the moment.

After releasing our first SPLIT EP with Lord Gorgeous in the summer of 2017, we're now hard at work preparing our second release for this Summer.

Ajda the TQ | Ad Frank

Music Genre:
Porchfest Sub Genre:
Band Description:

Ajda blends Turkish & Texan influences she imbibed with mother's milk to create "rootsy yet ethereal" songs performed on guitar & mandolin. Think PJ Harvey meets Nick Cave...

“Poet laureate of the lovelorn", Ad Frank follows a long tradition of brooding, hyper-literate curmudgeons that includes Leonard Cohen, Lloyd Cole & Roddy Frame. Wry, self-deprecating lyrics tell familiar tales of a life & loves that did not go as planned. Ad draws in style and delivery on both late glam & early new wave.

Happy Little Clouds

Porchfest Sub Genre:
Band Description:

Happy Little Clouds is the ultimate hybrid indie band that combines a familiar rock base with soulful, sometimes bluesy, female vocals, edgy guitar, punchy bass, and bouncy rhythms. They play with dynamics like a yo-yo and aren't afraid to get quiet until they slap you in the face with beats that can get even the living dead up and grooving. Passion and good musicality triumph the stage and you'll be sure to have a tune or two stuck in your head after this band is done. The Boston-based indie rock band was formed in 2010 by singer/guitarist Jac Mestel and drummer Alex Toorish. They were joined in 2014 by bassist Kelly Vaden.
