When you go to a Children of the Horn show - you know you're going to have fun. Formed by students at Tufts and NEC, Children of the Horn are a hip-hop/r&b sensation, playing covers (by artists like Anderson Paak, Frank Ocean, and Amy Winehouse) and originals alike. The band has opened for Manwolves, Ric Wilson, and others as they have played throughout Boston in the past two years. This band was made for Porchfest. Get to the gig.

Sur5ILL (pronounced ser-vahy-vuhl) is a rapper/producer/guitarist from Boston, MA. He began rapping at the age of 14 (which was approximately a million years ago) after being imbued with the spirit of hip-hop in the '90s. Fortunately, the combination of the 1990s and a predominantly white private high school also saw the likes of grunge and alternative rock music greatly shape his musical palate.
Sur5ILL, the self-professed nerd, has been furiously rapping solo since the dissolution of the jam band, The LE Project, with which Sur5ILL was involved as a vocalist and rhythm guitarist from 2009 to 2012.

Boston lyrical pugilist Sur5ILL (pronounced "Survival") embarked on a solo career in 2013 after having been involved with the jam band, The LE Project, as a vocalist and rhythm guitarist. He began to furiously rap about non-conventional topics such as being a black nerd, operating as a wingman at a bar, or satirizing the corporate workplace.
Sur5ILL released his third Hip Hop mixtape, entitled “Exception,” on Oct. 16, 2015. It is available for free download and streaming at https://soundcloud.com/sur5ill/sets/exception.
