Vegetarian Curry & What's A Mung Bean with Madhu Nene

This class will dive into the complex and aromatic Indian spices and techniques that define much of this cuisine. Students will learn how to make tomato and cream based vegetable curry. We'll mix up and discuss mung beans, a legume native to Asia, and the star protein in our mung bean salad. And to soak up these flavors, Madhu will introduce us to lemon rice. A basmati rice mixed with lemon zest, lemon juice, mustard seeds, and peanuts, The perfect crunch and lightness to accompany the rich curry.
