Ellen McNeill is a Somerville-based singer-songwriter who captures complex and layered emotions in a stripped-down sound. Her music is a soulful blend of folk, jazz and indie. Unapologetically intimate and vocally captivating, she'll serenade you for a absurdly cold (and snowy?!) afternoon on your couch! Hope to see you at 4-5pm.

Hands 3 - 5:30 pm
"Hands' John Doe-like croon is bolstered by dagger-sharp guitars, and heart-pounding drums, harkening to all the best portions of Iggy & The Stooges, the New York Dolls, and his own Corner Soul compatriots" - Lilz Martin, Lowell Spin

Three songwriters and singers, we formed a fake band called Aqua Hamster while attending Tufts University. Upon graduation, we decided to stick together and turn the fake band into a real one. All these years later, here we are! Come see us for catchy, original tunes that will stick with you.

Christ the King Somerville will be hosting three bands this year! Warsaw, Lauren Pratt, and the CTKS Jam Band. Warsaw is a three-member band whose songs draw from ambient, electronic and rock influences and seek to juxtapose thoughtful lyrics with evocative and lush soundscapes. Lauren Pratt is an award-winning singer/songwriter with Celtic and Southern influences. Her fingerpicking and lulling, melodic voice combine to bring her ballad storytelling to life. The CTKS Jam Band is full of music lovers and is happy to combine those loves into a performance! There will be pop. There will be sing-a-longs. There will be music!
