Take four people from Louisiana, Vermont, Connecticut, and Sweden.
Add equal parts of folk, old-fashioned country, with a pinch
of bluegrass and gospel. Put it into a pot of cover tunes from
the last century. Spice with plenty of harmony vocals and add an
original or two. That's Tail - rootsy, acoustic, and pleasant.
What to expect? Songs of Neil Young, Beatles, Dylan, Traditionals,
Steve Earl, Grateful Dead, Pixies, 80’s pop\70s hits, originals.
All presented with a very personal touch.

Looking forward by keeping one eye on the past, Sam Spencer creates music that is equally rooted in contrapuntal theory, bebop jazz and 20th century pop with some other stuff thrown in for good measure. Porchfest 2012 will find him utilizing the upright bass, ukulele, banjo and more, though probably one instrument at a time.

Nemes is an unquestionably unique 5 piece rock/folk band from Boston, Massachusetts. The band's songwriting, involving memorable lyrics and catchy hooks, will always be at the forefront, followed by a wide array of top-notch musicianship.
Nemes has embarked on two tours of the Eastern US, continued building a local fanbase, and most recently released a full length album. The album is entitled “Don't Flush Me” and showcases the many sides that Nemes has to offer. On the disc, the band seamlessly transitions from arena-sized rock songs to violin-plucking tunes with just as much emotional intensity.
