The Ghost Truckers bring their brand of truck-based twangy roots rock back to the Somerville Porchfest. Aslo this year, we have Tad Overbaugh opening with a set of country tinged rock originals and covers.

Have you ever wondered what a band drawing heavily from "Rumors"-era Fleetwood Mac, Lucinda Williams, Big Star, and even some "Exile on Main Street"-era Rolling Stones might sound like?  Even if you haven't, you have to admit that this a potentially amazing mix, yes?  We take you to the place where love has died and then we sit at the bar with you and write songs about it--but melodic and catchy songs. Some other recent highlights include our nomination for a 2018 and 2019 Boston Music Award in the "Best Country Act" category, as well as making it to the semi-finals in Boston's famed "Rock & Roll Rumble".

With a focus on song writing and bringing unique energy playing the songs live, this makes no experience the same. Ranging from blues inspired rock, to the soulful feel of alt country, all the bases for an exciting Rock and Roll show are covered. We guarantee to get people dancing! We play funky originals plus covers from bands, including the Grateful Dead, The Band, Allman Brothers, Phish, Talking Heads and the likes. Current instrumentation includes: two guitars, sax, trumpet, keys, bass, drums and percussion.
