We are a group of friends who sing and play together exclusively for Porchfest (the best day of the year). Featuring vocal harmonies, violin, mountain dulcimer, harp, guitar, bass, banjo, flute, egg shakers, and Boomwhackers. For the first time, we will have special guests - students from the Maria L. Baldwin School!

Acoustic covers, mostly 90s stuff. We will see what I can pull off with nothing but a love for singing under the sun on a beautiful day. Real low key. You know the guy who brought an acoustic guitar to high school with him and sat under the tree at lunch playing for whoever came by? It's that vibe (oh, man, was I that guy? I did that, so...huh...this has already been enlightening). Will I play Dave Matthews Band? Yeah, seems likely.

A decent amount of desperation is condensed among cello, mandolin and ukulele.
A uncommon trio based on the passion of mixing different music styles, experience and music knowledge.
The Desperate Strings Trio is a irreverent cover band that draws its inspiration from a wide range of music genres --- alternative, R&B and Alpine yodeling.
The legend tells that the three members met while attending the Turin school of goat shepherding, but dropped out to pursue their musical passions.
Band members are:
- Manu: mandolin, voice
- Mik: ukulele, voice
- Curtis: cello, voice
