Jen Fries is a multi-disciplinary mixed-media artist, designer, and writer. Her methods include collage, assemblage, jewelry and wearable art, books, toys, fantastic fiction, and poetry. Her art is narrative, telling or implying stories about emotion and dreams, history, mythology and mysticism, and the interdependence of human-made and natural environments. 

From New York City via Vermont, Jen has lived and worked in Somerville since 2000.
