The Loft is a rehearsal space and DIY venue located in Union Square near Market Basket. Audrey Ryan runs the space and hosts artists and bands monthly from across the country to down the street. These shows feature cutting edge acts playing indie rock, folk, and other eclectic original music. During Porchfest Audrey will perform along with a few friends of the Loft. Last year the Loft @Porchfest featured Dan Blakeslee and Put Your Hoe Down. This year Audrey will invite Dan Blakeslee back along with friends like Jenee Halstead, Jonah Tolkin and other singer-songwriters and musicians based in Somerville or nearby.
