Gone To Seed got its start in New England kitchens and living rooms amid the aromas of food simmering on the stove and the chatter of long-time friends. In 2009, a lively musical duel with a group across the street brought this fresh MA-based string band onto the front porch and out into the open. Based on bluegrass and old-time music, the band blends hints of jazz, folk and rock into their ‘roots-grass’ sound.

The Highland Drifters formed when the Highalnd Kitchen opened (Highland and Central, Somerville) as their Sunday bluegrass/country brunch band, and continue to play there every week during brunch. There is, after all, nothing quite like a bloody mary, some crispy pancakes, and a good fiddle tune.
The Highland Drifters are ready, willing, and able to play your wedding, party, or event with good humor and three-part harmonies. Specialties include old-time, bluegrass, classic country, and Texas swing.

The Drifters are:
Jess Fox - fiddle
Eric Royer - banjo
JimmyHank Williams - guitar
