Mexican native Estela Calzada turns Kitchen Inc. into an authentic Mexican restaurant!
For one night only, snack on taquitos durados with cheese and potatoes and a salsa featuring the glorious, smoky chile morita. while you mingle with fellow Mexican food aficionados. Then feast on ensalada de nopales (cactus salad) and mole de guajolote de Estela: a rich, burgundy turkey mole that features a whopping 40 ingredients, including 4 kinds of Taza chocolate. A Flan punched up with mezcal will end the night with a kick. Estella worked for two years at Somerville’s Tu Y You restaurant (her mole and tamale recipes still grace the menu there!) and runs a catering company called Comida Autentica Mexicana. She’s the real deal and has been teaching cooking classes with us for over the past year. Andale!
