ArtsUnion

Started in 2005, ArtsUnion is an initiative to enhance the cultural economic development of Union Square. ArtsUnion presents events and markets, cultural and historical tours, commissions street furniture and public art, and revised zoning to incentivize arts redevelopment. ArtsUnion was once funded by the MCC's John and Abigail Adams Art Program and remains supported by the City of Somerville.

Repaired in 2011 but built in 1999, David collaborated with Charlie, at the time, the owner of Eat restaurant in Union.

During a storm in 2011 the sculptural tree was draped with a 12 year old trumpet vine was damaged. This is the work repaired, bare, but back up for another 10 year growth cycle.
