You are here

Ignite, A Night Out: November 7, 6-9:30pm, Union Square

The Ignite Festival will not be extinguished! Instead of a festival per se, Ignite this year will be an opportunity to come out to Union Square to feast upon global drinks and cuisine, while soaking up a hot vibe on a cold night.

This en plein air gastronomic gala, brought to you by the Somerville Arts Council will take place at restaurants throughout the entire Square. Each eatery will feature special fiery dishes and libations to warm you up. Diners are encouraged to dress up in festive and toasty attire; so come as an arctic explorer, Sasquatch, or don your giraffe onesie. We'll have lighting and art displays in the heart of the square—all to create a festive light-filled atmosphere as the days get darker and colder. Ignite is a chance to taste something new, be festive, and support Union Square restaurants! Oh yeah, it's B.Y.O.B. (bring your own blanket).

We will be following all city safety protocols. We ask that people wear masks at all times while walking around the square and to maintain strict social distancing. We recommend you make a reservation at a restaurant (up to 6 guests per table) and also don’t forget about take-out options!
