We have four bands playing this year. Yeah! Bucky Fereke And The Pony Express is an original three-piece outlaw/honky-tonk/folk-rock band. Legendary Dan Blakeslee, sings songs of hardship, hope and true grit. Rock 'n' Roll Dreamers play tastefully chosen covers from the golden days of rock 'n' roll's illustrious history. The Dying Falls are a four-piece independent band bonding over a shared enthusiasm for 1980s New Wave, girl groups, synth-driven rave-ups and sprawling roots-rock.
Funky gospel rockers Poor Everybody will headline Porchfest at The Goondocks this year. Guitarist Dan Pugatch will open the day with some solo action, and WMBR's Radio Ninja will be keeping the beat for the rest of the day. Come by for some hula hooping, grilling action, and lawn dancing!
Folk/Punk/Bubblegum/Pop: an accordion player, a cajon virtuoso, a guy with a jangly Rickenbacker, a Boston punk rock eminence (a.k.a. Captain Somerville), and a smoldering lead singer/soccer coach, "Diamond" Dave. Oh, and probably some younglings playing the fiddle, running around, and splashing in a kiddie pool.
