John Shakespear

Cambridge native and indie-folk songwriter John Shakespear has performed all around the United States, sharing the stage with acts such as Henry Jamison and Lewis del Mar. American Songwriter Magazine described his debut solo record, Spend Your Youth, as "reminiscent of Fleet Foxes and Elliott Smith,” and WBUR called it "an antidote to a dire national mood." With a persevering warmth that transcends national and political boundaries, Shakespear has written a coming-of-age record tinged by the times.
