Lizzy is built out of chicken wire, cement and mosaic. She was constructed in the fall of 2011 and didn't get her mosaic coat until spring of 2012. During Somerville Open Studios and many other warm afternoons, neighbors and strangers helped to place pieces of glass and ceramic on her back and legs. Her best moment was when a young boy walking down the street stopped to give her a kiss. She was very pleased.
