James McCarthy

James McCarthy is a pop singer/songwriter from Boston who performs soulful melodies with his dynamic band. His sound is a mix of pop and blues - playing the electric piano alongside four great musicians. James has been writing music since graduating from UMass Amherst, focusing on learning from his heroes Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Michael Jackson, and John Coltrane. The group plays locally in Boston at venues such as the Middle East, Thunder Road, and John Harvards Brewery. His group includes Evan Hill (Drums), Billy Thompson (Guitar), Jonny Saval (Bass), and Jarrod Stein (Keyboard).
