The music of Willie Laws will groove you: Think Robert Cray meets B.B. King with Jimi Hendrix showing up to join the jam. Raised in the Gulf Coast of Texas, Willie's funky blues guitar and vocal sound is influenced by Texas blues and R & B, Tex-Mex, zydeco, and country. He has opened for BB King, Etta James, Buddy Guy, Willie Nelson and numerous others. He has toured throughout the country with his mentor, the late Texan blues great, Phillip Walker. Now living in Massachusetts, he travels worldwide playing hardcore, authentic blues with a twist of zydeco and funk. At Joe's Jazz & Blues Festival, he'll be playing with Malcolm Stuckey on bass and Ephraim Lowell on drums.
