NATURAL SELECTION curated by David Hochbaum
Featuring artists, James Weinberg and Daniel Kern

James Weinberg

James Weinberg is a designer, illustrator, and screen printer out of Somerville MA. Working out of his studio at 11 Miller Street he creates designs for everything from book jackets, poster art and branding and packaging. Much of his inspiration comes from natural history, folk art and silkscreen.

In October, his first illustrated children’s book, Contrary Creatures, is being released by Page Street Kids. Check out his work at weinbergdesign.com and on Instagram at @weinbergdesign.com.

Daniel Kern
Daniel’s work derives from subconscious images that occur from periodic meditation and dreams. As a result, he achieves a phantasmal dream-like quality to the figures and places portrayed in his drawings. In addition to looking for inspiration internally, Daniel’s work is influenced by nature, his sleep paralysis and accented with symbolism and themes that touch upon different aspects of Mythology.
