Mira Göksel (they/them) is an movement artist from Izmir, TR, currently existing on the land of the Massachusett and Pawtucket Peoples, colonially referred to as Boston, MA.
This installation of lokma (kronolojikal displays of celebration, from birth to grief) is an interdisciplinary performance piece created in collaboration with composer and cellist sarah nichols, honoring Turkish rituals and celebrations of birth, community as support, and the beauty of growing up.
