Luminarium Dance Company is pleased to bring some of its most popular repertory to ArtBeat 2014. Much of the performance will be from the company’s acclaimed production Mythos:Pathos--which, like many ancient Greek stories, concepts, and ideas-- exemplifies the notion of ‘hatch.’ Emerging quietly from the darkness, Seir?n uses creative partnering and handheld lights to transform its six dancers into newly-awakened creatures of varying heights, shapes and sizes. Prometheus depicts the hatching of thought and the human desire for information, in a playful duet revolving around an active ball of light. Watch for multiple unique uses of light throughout the performance, including but not limited to wearable and handheld!
