Ramona Silver is a Boston-based singer-songwriter of infectious pop rock with soul. Her music is an off-kilter blend of electric guitar and keyboards, offering smart melodies with spunk and avant-garde tendencies. Silver's songs are often full of surprises and understated optimism. In Silver's street-simple yet street-smart lyrics, listeners hear shades of Liz Phair, Elvis Costello, The Carpenters and Harry Nillson. A past winner of Boston Music Award's Best Female Vocalist and Boston's Grammy Showcase, Silver is a frequent guest vocalist. She is also currently performing with local songwriters David Champagne (Treat Her Right) and Rachel Taylor. Silver and her band have opened for Sam Phillips, Matthew Sweet, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
