Únete a nosotros para un Recorrido de Arte Público en East Somerville, presentado por el Somerville Arts Council en colaboración con East Somerville Main Streets. Este recorrido gratuito de 90 minutos, realizado en español, celebra el Mes de la Herencia Hispana y te invita a explorar la vibrante escena de arte público en East Somerville. Descubre 8 paradas cautivadoras que incluyen una mezcla de esculturas, murales y cajas de luz pintadas. Cada parada muestra la diversidad artística y la riqueza cultural de nuestra comunidad, junto con las historias fascinantes detrás de estas obras.
Este recorrido es especialmente significativo ya que honra y amplifica las voces e historias de las comunidades hispanas y latinas en East Somerville. Es una poderosa manera de celebrar la rica herencia del área, fortalecer los lazos comunitarios, promover la educación cultural, apoyar a los negocios locales y fomentar un legado de inclusión y orgullo.
Estamos encantados de contar con dos talentosos artistas invitados, Fermin Castro y Megan O’Brien, en nuestro Recorrido de Arte Público. Ellos han creado algunas de las increíbles obras que visitaremos durante el recorrido.
El recorrido concluye con una deliciosa experiencia culinaria hispana en el restaurante Taco Loco, donde podrás saborear platos locales y reflexionar sobre el arte y las historias que has conocido en el recorrido. Esta experiencia es opcional, y te recordamos que los boletos de comida no están incluidos. ¡Apoyemos a nuestros negocios locales!

Join us for a Public Art Walking Tour in East Somerville, presented by the Somerville Arts Council in collaboration with East Somerville Main Streets. This free, 90-minute tour, conducted in Spanish, celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month and invites you to explore the vibrant public art scene of East Somerville. Discover 8 captivating stops featuring a mix of sculptures, murals, and painted switch boxes. Each stop showcases the artistic diversity and cultural richness of our community, along with the compelling stories behind these works.
This tour is particularly meaningful as it honors and amplifies the voices and stories of the Hispanic and Latino communities in East Somerville. It’s a powerful way to celebrate the area’s rich heritage, strengthen community bonds, promote cultural education, support local businesses, and foster a legacy of inclusivity and pride.
We are thrilled to have two talented guest artists, Fermin Castro and Megan O’Brien, joining us on the Public Art Walking Tour. They’ve created some of the incredible artworks featured at our tour stops.
The tour concludes with a delightful Hispanic culinary experience at Taco Loco Restaurant, where you can savor delicious local dishes and reflect on the art and stories you’ve encountered during the walking tour. This is an optional experience, and please note that food tickets are not included. Let’s support our local businesses!
