Christ the King Somerville will be hosting three bands this year! Warsaw, Lauren Pratt, and the CTKS Jam Band. Warsaw is a three-member band whose songs draw from ambient, electronic and rock influences and seek to juxtapose thoughtful lyrics with evocative and lush soundscapes. Lauren Pratt is an award-winning singer/songwriter with Celtic and Southern influences. Her fingerpicking and lulling, melodic voice combine to bring her ballad storytelling to life. The CTKS Jam Band is full of music lovers and is happy to combine those loves into a performance! There will be pop. There will be sing-a-longs. There will be music!

The Hello Stranger is a recording and performing artist who works in a variety of styles. In some moments he is a futurist-folk singer, writing stripped down songs and bare melodies. At other times he plays a bubbly character channeling energetic funk and soul rhythms. At even other times, he is an introspective computer producer writing intricate electronic prog-pop. The Stranger will happily play in whichever time zone.

SONIC RED is a musical project produced by Boston-based recording artist and engineer, David Macaulay. The music is an eclectic mix of rock, reggae, pop, electronic and metal. Initially beginning as Macaulay’s solo recording project, SONIC RED has now evolved into a full live band, high-energy rock show. Come see them live at a local show near you and witness the ultimate “sonic” experience.

Spaces For Two began in 2015 when Bob and David met through a posting on Craigslist. The first record Gone For The Show was met with critical acclaim in early 2017. David and Bob produced a handful of new tunes without drums and this became Believe released in late 2017. David and Bob then decided to release On The Dial in 2018 as a chronology that documented all songs recorded between 2015 and 2018. When playing live Spaces For Two adjusts their set list, arrangements and instrumentation to fit any venue, whether stripped-down with Bob on acoustic guitar and David on vocals and keys, or as a full-on band.

Guitar and voice. Inclusive singalongs about dangerous traffic, applied mathematics, the lack of gravity in platform videogames, sitting on the Tobin bridge, pickles from vending machines, and keeping everything together, if barely. The energy of rock music but just a bit weird. (The good kind of weird.)
