SEBIO

An email in early 2015 about a guitar pedal led guitarist/vocalist Stephan Nordgren to guitarist James Forbes. After recruiting bassist Erica Belden and drummer Brett Pieper, SEBIO (SEE-be-oh) was born.

After forming, SEBIO swung through most of the local venues, where they performed new material and songs off of Nordgren’s 2012 EP, “In Hardwood Groves”.

The Blue Ribbons

Music Genre:
Band Description:

The Blue Ribbons was formed by singer/songwriter/keyboardist James Rohr. They have been building a base of devoted fans with their original and soulful music. Described as “Ray Charles and Tom Waits on a pirate ship with Sun Ra and Captain Beefheart,” they combine “upbeat disillusionment and celebratory fatalism with musicianship”.

Kristina Stapelfeld is a songwriter from Long Island, NY currently living in the Boston area. She used to perform in NYC under the name Living In Polaroids from 2007-12. She began actively playing again in 2015.

Scout Somerville says, "This Somerville-based musician plays the kind of stripped-down, heartbreak folk that’s reminiscent of Rilo Kiley or early Waxahatchee—all breathy vocals over sparse, acoustic arrangements."

Cake Street

Porchfest Sub Genre:
Band Description:

Cake Street is made up of Anna (Band Manager), and college a cappella friends Emma, Chloe and Danielle (vocals, guitar, and percussion). We mostly cover popular folk music with lots of cool vocal harmonies.

Cake Street was formed when Emma's forever-roommate Abbey accidentally combined the expressions 'easy street' and 'piece of cake', and everyone was like, damn, we should form a band and call it THAT.
