items

"items" is the duo of Curtis and Doria Hughes, guitars and vocals, playing and singing original songs informed by prog, indie and folk-rock, with a hint of contemporary concert music and avant-jazz, as well as covers of songs they particularly like from the 60s through the 2000s, both obscure and not-so-obscure.
On a normal day Curtis is a teacher and composer of chamber music, while Doria is a storyteller and art foundation administrator, but as “items” they impersonate a seasoned guitar-driven singer-songwriter duo of enigmatic and mercurial stylistic proclivities.
