Blending early and current shoegaze with a hint of 80s post-punk and new romantic, The Shallows, from Somerville MA delivery ethereal layered songs punctuated by sometimes haunting, sometimes soaring vocals and memorable hooks. Evolving in fits and starts since 2019, the band has found firm footing - releasing there first LP Wave States in 2023 followed by 2025's EP, Red Shift
The Shallows are vocalist Jess Baggia (This Bliss), guitarist Brad Emerson (ex-Strangeways, The Milling Gowns), drummer Jason Keisch (ex-SCUBA, ex-Strangeways).
