Soulo is a Boston-based band that describes their style as “jazz hotpot,” drawing inspiration from the Chinese communal dish—layered, adaptive, and built from diverse ingredients. Their music brings together elements of jazz hip-hop, R&B, J-rock, and soul, weaving Chinese and English lyrics in the most exhausted sentimental expression.

With an algorithmic mindset, they write music like a math puzzle. Using groove as the kernel, treating other pieces as a Markov process, their music aims to build a rich and structured music experience.
