The saddest sound in Boston is the alt-emo juggernaut composed of Tim Maloney (guitar, vocals), Zach Downs (Guitar, vocals), Dan Feller (drums), Jonah Philbert (bass), and Priya Sapra (guitar). Since 2019, On Regret’s heart wrenching lyrics, interwoven soundscapes, and dirty power chords have carried audiences on haunting, breakneck journeys through tragedy, aging, frustration, and loss. After 5 years, the band’s sophmore album released May of 2024. ‘Burning Old Photos’ is a mixture of stand-alone pop punk singles, screaming hardcore laments, and intimate chainsaw-laden jams.
