Michael Boezi performs regularly in the metro Boston area in a busking, "electric folk" style – and in a band format too. The Stipulations are Somervillians Dave DeSimone on drums and Josh Ellsworth on guitar and lap steel, joined by Peter Fernandez on bass and backing vocals.
Michael just released an LP called "No Love Songs, Vol. 1," featuring some of Boston's most celebrated musicians as collaborators. Comparisons include Billy Bragg, Andrew Bird, Kurt Vile, Dire Straits, Mountain Goats, Lord Huron, R.E.M, Johnny Marr, and Richard Thompson.
