AVANZA (formerly Extraño) is world fusion band hailing from the Somerville, Massachusetts. Specializing in Spanish-American fusion, we blend traditional elements of Spanish music with modern American influences. By modernizing flamenco, and blending it with Latin and Pop influences, we aspire to span genres and eras, celebrating the rich melting pot of cultures we grew up submerged in. Our signature is writing original flowing translations of beloved classics, not only creating a unique captivating sound, but bridging cultural gaps so that diverse audiences will be able to understand and enjoy!
