Le Prestige is a Somerville based instrumental and improvisational music group. Their original songs are primarily influenced by the spirit of 60’s soul jazz and the big beats and loops of 90’s hip-hop and electronica. Taking an organic and low-tech approach to these sounds, the tunes feature horn-driven melodies and expressive soloing over funk, jazz, reggae and disco grooves. They also never miss a chance to play “Wichita Lineman”.
