We are Dr. Beaver 鬍子醫生, a 7-member Chinese band based in Somerville. Our set blends original songs with Mandarin covers, creating a vibrant cross-cultural experience. Our original music features a fresh, indie-folk style with light, nature-inspired tones, while our covers bring the dynamic energy of Mandarin rock. One of our original songs was recognized at the NCCU Golden Melody Awards, a university music competition in Taiwan.
With 3 vocals, guitars, bass, keyboard, and percussion, our performances are lively, warm, and engaging—inviting audiences to discover Mandarin music in a fun, accessible, and community-centered way.
