SUMMARY:Neetu Singhal\, Transcendental Explorations of Color
DESCRIPTION:\nThe Somerville Arts Council and the Inside-Out Gallery proudl
y feature Miller Street Studio artist\, Neetu Singhal. Neetu has been an a
ctive visual artist for over 16 years. Her methodology according to Singha
l is roots is curiosity\, “My artistic process begins with a desire to
understand “Universal Energy”: how each of our consciousnesses explore
visual forms. Two primary forms inhabit my work: Dots and Lines. Together
\, they evoke everything in the universe. Dots represent atoms\, cells\, a
nd stars\; lines are the infinite continuity of life within the elevated h
uman experience. By observing this relationship from various angles (where
line is the extended form of a Dot)\, you can begin to recognize parallel
 s in our day-to-day lives.”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtist StatementMy ar
tistic process begins with a desire to understand “Universal Energy”:
how each of our consciousnesses explore visual forms. Two primary forms in
habit my work: Dots and Lines. Together\, they evoke everything in the uni
verse. Dots represent atoms\, cells\, and stars\; lines are the infinite c
ontinuity of life within the elevated human experience. By observing this
relationship from various angles (where line is the extended form of a Dot
)\, you can begin to recognize parallels in our day-to-day lives. It is th
rough the small moments of daily life that I try to activate all my senses
and observe &amp\; identify those UNSEEN forms--the non-verbal communicat
ion process across the surface. These interactions of dots\, lines\, color
s\, and patterns generate energy patterns and create their own language. L
ooking through a more metaphysical lens\, I experience a sense of vibratio
n across the multi-dimensional plane during this process.A marriage of two
practices. The balance of engaging in an active\, playful brain science e
nhances this duality\, bringing forth the cosmic art and theosophical tril
ogy that decodes micro and macro-universal creative forces in the space. T
he interaction of dots\, lines and colors generate specific energy pattern
s that vibrate at their own frequency. During this process\, it feels like
these elements are alive in space\; however\, this is “alive space” i
s only activated when an existing creative idea presents itself. After prac
ticing and researching about “Himalayan’s Masters” and “Self-Reali
zed Yogi &amp\; Monk’s Vedic for over a decade\, I had an epiphany. The
scriptural teachings I had become so familiar with were elevating my creat
ive practice. As I dived deeper\, they allowed me to identify advanced for
ms\, opening the new possibilities of an ultimate evolution of human neuro
biological brain-minded secrets through this artistic expression. This cla
rity presented a clear connection of theosophical philosophy\, pataphysics
-metaphysical science\, healing &amp\; self-awareness philosophy and ancie
nt Asian Vedic philosophy within all art forms. It is holistic journey tha
t not only stimulates my personal experiences and research but reveals new
perspective for all unseen creative forms. Full awareness and transcenden
tal theory postulates that creation is geometrical progression\, beginning
with a single point and ending to a single point. By attending mind-brain
awareness\, mindfulness &amp\; cellular healing conferences and gathering
s\, I have gained a better understanding of this sacred geometry and how i
t relates to an artistic and at times esoteric level. In my practice\, I ut
 ilize a wide spectrum of mediums: acrylic\, oil\, ink\, semi-precious ston
 es\, gold\, silver\, bronze\, aluminum\, copper\, iron\, leather\, fabric\
 , wood\, paper\, burlap\, ceramics\, etc. Each holds a unique quality that
allows me to actualize my vision\, drawing on strong color composition th
at expresses both self-awareness and inner beauty. Viscosity &amp\; veloci
ty (the physical properties of color) provide multiple tactile surface exp
eriences that in turn open various interpretations of hidden neurobiologic
al secrets &amp\; messages. The organized color application intensifies th
e emotional creative power within\, leading me closer to inner truth and u
pliftment of highest level of the human consciousness. Led by high intuiti
on\, this is expanded by using other expressive elements in the form of ha
rmonics and rhythm to create a rich spiritual &amp\; dynamic transcendenta
l resonance for viewers and participating artists. By using light and spec
ific frequency sounds in tandem with visual forms\, the viewer has access
to a more dynamic and supportive sensory experience.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout
Neetu Singhal\n\n\n\nNeetu has over 16 years of professional experience as
a visual artist. In 2008\, she started her full-time professional artist
’s journey in India after leaving her professional science background be
hind. Pursuing her passion for art was one of her biggest life decisions.N
eetu is known for “Neurobiological-Art”--a visual practice that evolve
d through her analysis of neuroscience experiments. It is her inntate curi
ousity in the trilogy of science\, art\, and spirituality that allows her
to explore the essence and many facets of ‘Cellular &amp\; Universal Con
sciousness’. This passion lies in the connection of the Transcendental\,
Metaphysical &amp\; Theosophical perspective of Mind-Brain Science relati
on. It is a focused effort of balance between bodily consciousness\, thoug
hts\, and emotions. In Neetu’s work\, “transcendental effects of color
s” are a strong impression to enhance human daily life experiences with
uplifting life force energies. Her paintings are based on her personal exp
eriences and her vision to make this world more joyful. Her work is identi
fied as a “Powerful Transcendental impact of Color Psychology”\, helpi
ng many children and adults to improve their mental health. Her work has be
en prestigiously represented and recognized in more than 95 group or solo
 exhibitions\, auctions\, art fairs\, art biennials\, government institutio
ns\, hospitals and art residencies across the globe. In 2013\, her work wa
s documented by the Indian government’s biggest National TV Channel “D
oorDarshan” (DD). It was a full documentary of her work. Her work has be
