DESCRIPTION:\nA meeting of artists through improvisation and performance.\n
 \n\n\nMEET is an improvisational series where artists of different perform
 ing art disciplines can meet each other through practice. The night of we 
 will be drawing names from 3 “hats” each focusing on different “spac
 es”: the sonic space\, the visual space\, and the embodiment space. Ther
 e is some room to cross over spaces (for those pan-disciplinary artists ou
 t there)\, but we ask each participating artist to pick the primary space 
 they want to focus on and drop their name in. We will then create grouping
 s by picking the names from the hats to create ensembles (duos\, trios\, q
 uartets\, etc.).\n\n\n\nParticipants can assume the following:\n\n\n\nThe 
 MEET space is a place for improvisation and performance. You/we are meant 
 to be seen/heard. (Please plan accordingly)It’s a place to share space a
 nd time with each other and MEET each other through performance practices.
 Embodiment\, sonic\, and visual spaces are to be interpreted as you wish. 
 These are focal points for performers to anchor themselves\, but not compl
 ete restraints.\n\n\n\nEmbodiment&nbsp\;is centered on expression and form
  through the body. Dancers\, theater artists\, movers\, and other folks wh
 o use their body in their performance practice.\n\n\n\nSonic&nbsp\;is cent
 ered on the spaces we hear. Musicians\, tinkerers\, and folks who make noi
 se and silence need apply.\n\n\n\nVisual&nbsp\;is centered on spaces that 
 we see. Video artists\, lighting designers\, visual artists\, installation
  artists\, and folks who give us color and form apply here.\n\n\n\nAll par
 ticipants must show up 1 hour before we start to address any technical set
 up (yes\, even plugging in an amp is technical). There will be no time bet
 ween sets to set up your stuff. Have it prepared ahead of time.\n\n\n\nSig
