Celebrate the Inauguration of Letters Rewoven

Letters Rewoven, a new community art installation by local artist Anna Fubini, is now on view at Lou Ann David Park (1060 Broadway, Somerville, MA) from October 27 through Spring 2026. Join us for a small inauguration reception on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM to meet the artist and celebrate the unveiling of this work.

Letters Rewoven gathers the voices of Somerville residents through an expressive writing process led in collaboration with Brenda M. Echeverry, Expressive Arts Therapist at Art and Soul Clinic. Participants reflected on themes of impermanence, transformation, renewal, and resilience, considering how these forces shape their own lives. Their writings were then transformed into paper pulp mixed with wildflower seeds and used to cover the sculpture’s panels—creating a living, evolving artwork that will gradually return to the earth and create new growth.

This project was made possible through the Temporary Public Art by Emerging Artists Program, funded by the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA) Making It Public Program, and supported by the Somerville Arts Council.
