Jo-Mé Dance Theatre (1st Company) was established in 2013 to create an exploratory process where the company could combine diverse elements, including acting, to cultivate new and innovative movements and ideas. In Search of the Sun is a powerful contemporary dance piece that honors the journeys of over 120 million displaced people worldwide. Through moving choreography and storytelling, it conveys the heartbreak, resilience, and hope of refugees seeking safety. A stirring call for empathy, it invites reflection on our shared humanity.
