The Somerville Arts Council is launching a new call to Video art, Animation, Projection Generative and Digital artists called Union Video.

Union Video is a presentation of digital projection art shown on a building facade in Union Square, Somerville. The projection will run evenings in late Fall of 2020.

How it works: Submit your proposals via email. You may submit new or existing works. If you have not yet created the work then please describe your proposed work and include a sketch, image or short video clip that visually represents your proposed work. For existing works please submit a link (such as Google Drive, WeTransfer or Website) to your video or partial clip of your video. Final videos should be 30 seconds to 10 minutes in length. Important note: No audio is available for this projection series.

When submissions are received, the Arts Council will curate, choosing a selection of artists to participate. Once participants have been selected, we will review the timeline for completion of your work at which point you will need to submit a link to your final video.

Additional information: The projection is 4:3 aspect ratio projected onto a brick facade approximately 20 feet wide by 15 feet tall. High contrast works will show best on the facade.

Compensation: If selected, you will be paid $300.

Submission deadline: All submissions are due by August 15, 2020.
