This roots based band from Boston, MA combines 3-part harmonies layered over rock and world beat grooves and has developed a unique sound that moves smoothly from original reggae and psychedelic rock to West African, Cuban, funk and blues. The band is made up of Conor O'Brien on guitars and lead vocals, Chris Chitouras on guitars and vocals, Keith Kirkpatrick on bass and vocals and Frank Laurino on drums and percussion. Some influences include Paul Simon, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Peter Gabriel, the Beatles, Buena Vista Social Club, Salif Kieta, Baaba Maal, Grateful Dead and Zani Diabate.

Based on the annual iMadonnari street painting festival in SLO County, local volunteer artists in Somerville, MA will transform Davis Square using pastels on pavement to create vibrant and colorful, large scale images. Businesses, individuals and organizations have sponsored street-painting squares to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute through 501(c)3 donations made to the PMC.Street Painting Festival Fundraiser.

Dhol and taasha (drums) are played as celebratory music during festivals, weddings, and especially during the Ganesha festival processions in Maharashtra, a western state in India. Booming beats of the dhols in sync with the crisp beat of the taasha creates an exhilarating environment.

Bahia is a performance with music of Brazil. Bahia- called samba reggae that celebrates the diversity of the Brazilian nation highlighting the Brazilians indigenous and African.
The music is accompanied with the sounds of drums, Brazilian folklore accompanied by ritual and dance.
Folk will be our happy ending, culminating our performance in style.

Santosha is a Boston area based Kirtan band lead by Naomi Edelman on lead vocals and harmonium. Santosha creates original compositions using tradition sanskrit and the variety of musical backgrounds of it's members Paul Erlich (guitar), Alison Dagger (flute), and Lauren Calista (backup vocals and drum). Santosha's music is a spiritual experience that will release your inner struggles and provide you with a beautiful and enlightening meditational practice to feel energized and renewed. You can find the band hosting Kirtan events around the Somerville/Arlington area or accompanying Yoga classes and other meditational gatherings.
