Performing at their first Somerville Porchfest, No More Rascals is comprised of three regulars hailing from the Old Oak Dojo Open Mic in JP. For Porchfest, this small second-story band will be taking the stage on a small second-story porch. NMR features the acoustic guitar and vocal stylings of Deborah Frieze and Nejem Raheem, with Andrew Klein on drums (and occasional vocals). NMR crafts spicy folksy-alt-intellectual-rock originals with a dash of off-beat covers, and pairs well with craft beer and manchego. If you want to see these musicians shoeless, come by the Old Oak Dojo in JP the first Thursday of every month.

We'll have Today Junior playing a rip roaring surf rock set in the driveway with a second acoustic set of covers and originals by Austin Perea if he gets drunk enough.

We enjoy ourselves most when joined by friends and will feature a number of great Somerville artists sitting in on a fun and playful Porchfest jam. Come on by!

Buddy V is an Americana artist. He will be playing a solo acoustic set comprised of tunes off his most recent record along with other classics.

Jess Green pulls inspiration from artists ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Carol King, Joni Mitchell to Ray Charles, and Diana Krall to Stevie Wonder.  In her music you will hear singable meldodies blended with colors and chord progressions that stretch the boundaries of traditional pop/singer-songwriter music and bring in a subtle but clear undercurrent of jazz.  Her show will mix music she's written with timeless jazz, folk, and blues tunes.

Boston singer-songwriter Billy Dodge Moody combines thought-provoking lyrical storytelling with an eclectic blend of folk, blues, soul, and alternative rock. In the summer of 2018, Billy will be releasing his second studio record, "Wildwood", as a follow up to his debut, "Dawn Breaks Over Mystic."

We are a group of musicians from the ministry Youth with a Mission Boston. We love Music, Jesus and seeing people encounter God through the arts.

The Group Activity is a Boston-based band that shines light on the changes we would like to see in the world. Our music explores American folk, R&B, and reggae roots in a celebration of life that also acknowledges the problems we see within our lives and the world around us. Ultimately, we seek to unite and rejoice in this beautiful experience called life, together.

Solo act - vocals and electric guitar, with some looping involved. Primary influences are The Mountain Goats, Built to Spill, Bill Callahan, and I guess Pavement? So, indie rock from the late nineties / early aughts. A bar tender recently told me I sound like the guy from the Bloodhound Gang "in a good way."
